Wow...that's really about it. Not much in the way of romance this year. This was a pretty slow year for me compared to recent ones. I suppose that's good...no parents dying or getting my heart broken. Also, no major illnesses. Yay for that.
This coming year, I'd like to get started on a career of some sort...either by starting my PhD program or finding a good, professional job. I'd REALLY like to stop being single and start an intense, passionate, ecstastic love affair with a cute, quirky woman. I'd like to get in better shape and to get some writing done. I need to write some new songs, and I'd like to try my hand at fiction writing. Maybe some short stories. And to finish my memoir.
And to get rid of some of these hobbies.
Where I live, there's a barber shop that has one of those yellow signs that holds stenciled letters. The barber always puts pithy sayings on the sign. One time, it said, "You can do anything, but you can't do everything."
Fuckin A
Alien V. Predator Requiem is awesome! (If by awesome, I mean ridiculously awful, which I do).
For the first time in my life, IU plays a Bowl Game tomorrow. Go Hoosiers! I never met Terry Hoepner, but the little I saw made me believe that the man was a very classy and honorable man. His very short career at IU seems to have left a legacy of respect and excellence. That's impressive.
It's sort of ironic and unfortunate that they're playing the Insight Bowl, since it's the cable companies that have refused to carry the Big Ten Network and have kept a lot of Hoosier fans in southern and central indiana from watching their team.
