The Light at the End of the Tunnel
I have about 1 year left of taking classes. 1 year. 1 more year. After this semester, I will have spent 21.5 years of my life enrolled in some form of formal education. That's 21.5 years out of 29.5 years of life. When it's all said and done, that'll be 22.5 years out of 30.5 years of life, or about 74%. Starting this May, here are my tasks over the next year:
Somewhere around 7 more classes.
Three different 8 hour exams.
Teaching 3 courses (never taught before).
If I pass all my classes and exams, I will never, ever, ever, ever, ever have to take another class, or do another exam, or write another term paper, unless I want to, for the rest of my motherfucking life. Instead, I'll be doing my own research and teaching my own classes or doing some other kind of job. But I'll be done...DONE...with school. Forever!!! Weird!!!!!!!!!
This is starting to look frighteningly like adulthood.
