internship conundrum
Hey all,
I need to decide whether I should take a paid internship doing something that might or might not be fun that requires a 1.5 hour commute both ways, or do something unpaid that will be fun here in the area. Both, I think, will be good experiences in terms of career boosting, although the paid gig may be a bit better than on that front. The paid internship is with the state's economic development agency, and the unpaid internship is with a campaign.
Any suggestions?

Joe,
Michael Wood here. Word of advice from someone who does it; go for the campaign. It's often miserable work, you'll probably loose (If I remember right you're up against one of the R's near Columbus, IN), it's long hours, and hard. But you'll end up loving it. Trust me.

Or you could just work for the R and get paid. Paying people is what we do.

Correct. See entry under Cunningham, Randy "Duke", DeLay, Thomas, and Abramoff, John
